The Lady Crusaders faced off against Appalachian Bible College Friday night, gaining their second win at home this season and their third win in a row. The Crusaders went on a 17-0 run early in the first quarter and tallied a total of 31 points off of turnovers. Bryn Burgess led the team with 25 points, grabbed 9 rebounds, 3 assists, and 4 steals. Grace Nyman brought a spark off the bench and contributed to the Crusader win with 17 points, 9 total rebounds, and 4 steals. Dylan Burgess added 8 points, Mary Heisler chipped in 7 points, and other Lady Crusaders contributed to the point total. Junior Gemma McMahon wore many hats contributing 4 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks.Christendom went into the 3rd quarter with a 40-13 lead and riding on the momentum of the previous quarters, ended the game 71-28.
The Lady Crusaders will fight for their 4th win of the season tomorrow, February 3rd at Crusader Gymnasium against Mid-Atlantic Christian at 1pm.
