Lady Crusaders Drop Close Game to MACU

Christendom's Lady Crusaders fell to USCAA opponent Mid-Atlantic Christian today after a hard-fought battle. The Crusaders outscored MACU the first 3 quarters and started the 4th quarter with a 49-38 lead. In the 4th quarter, Mid-Atlantic Christian turned up their defensive efforts and got hot on offense, scoring 25 points in the quarter.


The Lady Crusaders were led by Dylan Burgess, who double-doubled with 18 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals. Bryn Burgess chipped in 14 points, 9 assists, 7 rebounds, and 3 steals. Grace Nyman added 12 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals. Gemma McMahon ripped down 12 boards and started most of the fast breaks for the Lady Crusaders, but in the end, Mid-Atlantic was able to hang on and win by 5 points.


The Lady Crusaders look to bounce back on Wednesday where they will host Washington Adventist at 7pm at Crusader Gymnasium.
