Lady Crusaders Fight Hard in Loss to Washington Adventist

On a tough shooting night, the Lady Crusaders fell to a tough Washington Adventist Shock team, 63-40. The Lady Crusaders shot only 28.3% from the field, while Washington Adventist shot 37.9% from the field. With 9 made 3-pointers and 27 points scored off of Crusader turnovers, the Shock gained the upper hand in the game. The Lady Crusaders out-rebounded Washington Adventist, pulling down 36 total rebounds. The Burgess twins led the team, Dylan led in scoring with 16 points, while Bryn added yet another double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Mary Heisler contributed another 6 points and pulled down 5 rebounds. Celia Gallego-Barea led Washington Adventist with 13 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists; Courtney Jenkins added 10 points to the tally, and Amber Morman had 9 points and 7 rebounds.


The Lady Crusaders will host Patrick Henry College for Senior Day this Saturday, February 10 at Crusader Gymnasium at 12 noon.
