Lady Saders Go 2-2 in Volleyball Filled Weekend

Lady Saders traveled to Baltimore MD for a volleyball filled weekend, playing four games in two days. The Crusaders were off to a good start, winning their first game with ease, the final set count being 3-0.  However, the second game presented the Crusaders a much harder opponent.  The Lady Saders played hard and although each set was close, they lost 3-0.  The next day The Crusaders again won their first game, with a dominating 3-0 set count.  But again, the second game of the day proved too much as they again fell 3-0.  Senior Michaela Pennefather led the team's attacking unit throughout the weekend, racking up an impressive 60 kills through the four games, freshman Claire Mense led the team in assists, setting up her teammates 89 times over the weekend and sophomore Maria Cook headed off the team's defense, leading the team with 58 digs.  Lady Saders went 2-2 overall on the weekend, bringing their season record to 5-12.  The Crusaders have a week of practices before their next game day, an away tri-match Saturday, October 5.
