Mont Alto, PA - Christendom Crusaders Men's Basketball triumphed over the top-ranked team in the USCAA, the Penn State Mont Alto Nittany Lions, with a dramatic 59-57 victory on Wednesday, January 29th.

Front Royal, VA - Christendom Crusaders Men's Basketball dominated a familiar opponent, the Patrick Henry Sentinels, with a score of 85-61 on Thursday, January 23rd.

In one of the most thrilling finishes of the season, the Christendom Crusaders overcame a 17-point deficit with 14 minutes remaining to defeat the Central Penn Knights 79-75. The Crusaders, who trailed 70-59 with just 7:30 left in the game, closed the contest on a 20-5 run to claim a dramatic victory, thanks to standout performances from Bobby Vander Woude (Junior/Nokesville, VA) and John Fowler (Sophomore/Tempe, AZ).

Over $30,000 was raised for Christendom’s student-athletes at the 15th annual Thomas S. Vander Woude Golf Tournament this past week. The event, held at the local Shenandoah Valley Golf Club, saw a record participation of more than 180 golfers, including alumni, friends, and benefactors of the college, as well as nearly 50 sponsors, all united in support of Christendom’s student-athletes.

Student-athletes from Christendom’s men’s and women’s basketball teams earned numerous awards from the USCAA and Eastern States Athletic Conference (ESAC) following their remarkable 2023-24 seasons, as announced by both organizations. Men’s basketball star John Paul Vander Woude was named the USCAA DII Men’s Basketball Student-Athlete of the Year, while two members of the women’s basketball team earned All-American honors and ten total players earned Academic All-American honors.
